Robin Oaks has conducted hundreds of independent workplace investigations in public, academic and private institutions throughout California. Since 1997, she has focused exclusively on offering workplace investigation services, conflict resolution facilitation, expert witness testimony, and
discrimination prevention training. She specializes in complex investigations, often handling sexual harassment and discrimination complaints in work and academic settings. An attorney since 1985, she has experience in employment, environmental, and education law litigation, and has contributed to national publications on sexual harassment and conducting defensible workplace investigations. She was the judicial law clerk for Judge John Garrett Penn, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, who adjudicated Meritor Savings Bank v. Vinson, the landmark case where the a claim of "sexual harassment hostile environment" under Title VII was first recognized.

Conflict Resolution Facilitator and Trainer
Offering services for conflict resolution through mediation, change management awareness, and facilitated conflict resolution processes. Providing customized training in conducting investigations and preventing sexual harassment (mandated training in California under AB 1825) for employers who do business in California and employ 50 or more employees. All trainees are provided written materials and a comprehensive manual (RESPECT Investigation Manual) that includes checklists and forms for conducting defensible investigations. Choose the training that best meets the employer’s needs: in depth training on investigation techniques, two hour AB 1825 sexual harassment prevention and complaint response training for supervisors, or individualized customized training for individuals or employees.
